Barbershop chair layout is the foundation of your daily operations. Poor spacing leads to bumped elbows, tangled clipper cords, awkward client eye contact, and ultimately fewer stations than your lease allows. Underconge Atelier has developed layout protocols tested across 47 Stockholm shops.
Swedish workplace regulations (Arbetsmiljöverket) require adequate circulation for staff and clients. Our standard clearances exceed code minimums for premium feel:

Each station receives: 2× 230V outlets at 1.05 m AFF (above finished floor) flanking the mirror centreline; 1× floor grommet (if chair base permits) for clipper charging; dedicated 16A circuit per two chairs to prevent breaker trips during peak Saturday load. Floor box placement coordinated with chair manufacturer base plate drawings — we request these before finalising layout.
